About

In 2002 LifeMission Church was born as a Bible study in Pastor Clint and Mary’s Olathe home. Over the years, Jesus has been lifted high, lives have been eternally changed, and our community has experienced the love of Christ. As we look forward and live life on mission, our best years are yet to come.

Vision and Purpose

There are five primary purposes that God has placed on our hearts in order for us to fulfill Jesus’ command to make disciples.  For any of us to live out our full potential in God, these five areas must be active and developing in our lives: Salvation, Family, Freedom, Growth, Mission.

Our Story

In 2001, the Lord gave Clint and Mary Sprague fresh vision for a dynamic, outreach-oriented church in the Kansas City area. Both originally from KC, the Spragues shared a heart to see a local church like the amazing one they served in Michigan. At the time, Clint was the Pastor of Student Ministries at Resurrection Life Church in Michigan. After much prayer and wise counsel, it became clear that God was calling them back home to Kansas City.

In June of 2002, Pastor Clint and Mary were commissioned by Resurrection Life Church International to plant Life Church in the Kansas City area.

Our Beliefs

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God, without error in the original language.

We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. This is known as the Trinity.

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His complete conquest over the power of Satan, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His sure return.

Leadership

Jesus shows us that serving is leading. At LifeMission Church, our leadership team is dedicated to revealing the character and nature of God. From a casual conversation in the lobby to a hospital bedside or a word of encouragement from the stage, we lift Jesus high and purpose to be more like Him.

Church Plants

In March of 2012, Pastor Jared and Mandy Scholz launched a new church in Lawrence, KS called “The Greenhouse Culture”. We were so blessed to have them on our team here at LifeMission Church for more than 9 years, and it’s a privilege to be a part of helping to plant this new life-giving community of faith in Lawrence!

In April of 2014, Garrett and Sarah Prechtl moved to Steamboat Springs, Colorado to launch Venue Church. Being founded on Ezekiel 34, Venue Church exists so that those who were scattered will be found in Christ. Venue Church has a passion to reach the rural, mountain communities of the Rockies for the Kingdom of God.

In the summer of 2015, while serving as the worship pastor of LifeMission Church Jarod and Jennifer Smith responded to the call God laid upon their hearts to plant a church in the Nashville area. Jarod and his family were commissioned and sent by LifeMission Church to start New Tribe Church in Mt. Juliet on June 6, 2016.

Worship At Life

“It is powerful enough that God is present on the earth, but it is our response to His presence that creates an atmosphere of worship! When we assemble together at LifeMission Church, we are gathering to collectively respond and celebrate the saving power of Jesus, the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives, and the love of our Father in heaven!” – Jarod Smith
