We are seeking a full-time Graphic Designer / Website Editor. As the graphic designer you’ll work within the Communications Team to build engagement through visual and print media. As website editor you’ll oversee editing of the website to keep information, and imagery up to date. You’ll help conceptualize and create content that’s important to LifeMission Church in our Mission to Love God, Inspire Faith, Reach those Far from God, and Connect People into Family.

This position must be able to quickly transition from one project to another, and be able to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines. This creative must be able to work well with others as an encouraging and supportive team member.

Graphic Designer

Principal Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and develop designs for assigned print, multimedia and electronic pieces.
  • Build and maintain stock photos and design files.
  • Oversee printing of projects both in house, and through outside vendors.
  • Create and design graphics for social media outlets.
  • Work with the Communications Manager to meet graphic needs for all ministry areas.
  • Stay up to date and research current design trends, and tools for creating graphics.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and meet determined deadlines.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned and required.

Required Skills, Gifts, Knowledge:

  • Preferred Undergraduate degree or 2+ years of relevant digital design experience
  • Computer Skills (Microsoft Office)

  • Proficiency of common graphic design tools and software, (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe)
  • High level of understanding and passion for the process
  • Experience working with printing vendors and understanding their requirements when sending items to print is a plus

Website Editor

Principal Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain website
  • Edit information in a timely manner
  • Create events, pages and links when necessary
  • Update graphics, and photos to keep things fresh and up to date
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise
  • Manage and renew subscriptions

Required Skills, Gifts, Knowledge:

  • Preferred Associates degree in web design or similar length of experience
  • Experience building and maintaining websites
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of HTML/CSS
  • WordPress experience using Salient and Avada themes
  • Server side database knowledge
  • Experience backing up websites, restoring sites, issuing SSL Certificates, installing WordPress
  • Siteground platform experience
