Videographer

We are seeking a full-time Videographer who is passionate about storytelling and is interested in innovatively representing Jesus and LifeMission Church. This employee will be a part of the Communications Team. The position requires fast turn-around of short-form content including, but not limited to, sermon intro videos, short features, interviews, event promos, announcements, and some long-form stories.

Principal Job Responsibilities:

  • Film and edit all creative video content for LifeMission
  • Edit weekly sermon
  • Provide small clips from sermon for social
  • Write scripts for
  • Capture B-Roll of weekend experiences at all
  • Look for and follow up with stories within LifeMission
  • Plan, prep, and execute testimonial
  • Pitch creative video content for events and other promotions
  • Capture events for highlight footage and photos
  • Build a team of volunteer videographers
  • Create recaps to celebrate wins
  • Assist ministries in producing approved video

Required Competencies for Position:

  • Creativity – Ability to think outside the box and keeping current on new trends in videography and photography while representing the LifeMission Church brand
  • Organization Skills – Maneuvering comfortably through multiple projects for multiple ministries at the same Self-motivated to manage video requests while also pursuing new opportunities to capture video stories.
  • Commitment to Excellence – Determination to see projects completed creatively, efficiently, and accurately.
  • Team Player – Committed to working with the Communications Team to collaborate on creative projects that meet the needs of the various ministries at LifeMission

General Skills & Qualifications:

  • High-level knowledge of video editing programs such as Adobe Premiere and Da Vinci
  • Basic knowledge of other Adobe programs such as After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition, Lightroom, etc.
  • Experience in recruiting and building a base of volunteer videographers and photographers
  • Knowledge of cameras, lenses, lights, basic audio and other equipment
  • Experience in filmmaking – both in studio and creative video content
  • Photography skills
  • Experience in script writing and copy
  • Works well under pressure and with people

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Sit/stand for long periods of time
  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
