Why We Tithe
The earth is the LORD’s and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein. (Psalm 24:1)
And all the tithe of the land … is the LORD’s. (Leviticus 27:30)
We bring God the tithe because it belongs to Him. We are stewards, and God is worthy to be first in our lives. He is the Creator of everything, so all that we have belongs to Him. He simply asks us to return the first 10% of what He has provided to us as a way of declaring that He has first place in our lives.
Why We Give
For God so loved the world that He gave … (John 3:16)
We give because we are made in God’s image, and He is a giver. We are never more like God than when we give. Thank you for partnering with LifeMission to reach, not only the lost and broken, but the poor and needy as well.
