WHO WE ARE

In 2002 LifeMission Church was born as a Bible study in Pastor Clint and Mary’s Olathe home. Over the years, Jesus has been lifted high, lives have been eternally changed, and our community has experienced the love of Christ. As we look forward and live life on mission, our best years are yet to come.

MISSION | VISION | PURPOSE

  • Love God
    Inspire Faith
    Reach those far from God
    Connect people into Family

  • See lives and communities transformed by revealing God’s presence and purpose.

  • There are five primary purposes that God has placed on our hearts in order for us to fulfill Jesus’ command to make disciples. For any of us to live out our full potential in God, these five areas must be active and developing in our lives.

    Salvation
Experiencing new life, forgiveness and purpose.

    Family
Connected for authentic, encouraging and life-giving relationships.

    Freedom
Overcoming obstacles and enjoying who God created us to be.

    Growth
Maturing in the abundant life God has planned for us.

    Mission
Being used by God to touch the lives of others.

Our Beliefs

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God, without error in the original language. We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

  • We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God, without error in the original language.

  • We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. This is known as the Trinity.

  • We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His complete conquest over the power of Satan, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His sure return.

  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, whose indwelling presence enables believers to live godly lives full of power.

  • We believe the church consists of all those who truly believe in Jesus Christ and His atoning death, and who trust in Him as their Lord and Savior. We believe that God works through local churches to establish His kingdom on earth.

  • We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for the salvation of the lost, and that this salvation is wholly by grace through faith.

  • We believe that all the gifts of the Holy Spirit in 1 Corinthians 12 are available and in operation in the Body of Christ today.

  • We believe in the ordinance of Baptism in water (by immersion) in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, on the authority of Jesus’ name. We also believe in the ordinance of Holy Communion.

  • We believe in the resurrection of both the lost and the saved. The lost unto eternal damnation and separation from God; the saved unto eternal life in the presence of God.

  • We believe in the spiritual unity of all who believe in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Story

In 2001, the Lord gave Clint and Mary Sprague fresh vision for a dynamic, outreach-oriented church in the Kansas City area. Both originally from KC, the Spragues shared a heart to see a local church like the amazing one they served in Michigan.

  • The Lord gave Clint and Mary Sprague fresh vision for a dynamic, outreach-oriented church in the Kansas City area. After 13 years of missions and youth ministry, it became clear that God was calling them to plant a new life-giving church in their hometown.

  • Pastor Clint and Mary were commissioned by Resurrection Life Church International to plant Life Church (now LifeMission Church) in the Kansas City area.

  • They began holding Bible studies and prayer meetings with a small group of people at their home in Olathe. They would have dinner, study the early church from the Book of Acts, and pray together.

  • The first public worship service was held in the auditorium of Santa Fe Trail Middle School. With over 100 people in attendance, the expectation was high and the momentum built quickly.

  • During the next few years, the church grew to over a 1,500 people in weekend attendance, and saw 100’s respond to salvation invitations!

  • The church moved into a new worship center to make room for more people to come to Life.

  • The first extension campus was opened in Ottawa, KS.

  • The name of the church was changed from “Life Church” to “LifeMission Church” as a way to clarify and strengthen the focus of the church.

  • LifeMission Church is active in missionary outreaches around the world, as well as in church planting and multiplication through extension campuses in the US.
