Devo for 02/09/2025 service- Message by Pastor Clint Sprague
In this message series, Pastor Clint is encouraging us to “Live Fully Alive in 2025!” To live Fully Alive means we “receive, experience, and enjoy the empowered life God gave us”
This week, Pastor Clint talked to us about being Fully Alive in Love, or Being Fully in Love. These four points from the message are influential in our walk with Jesus. Being Fully in Love:
Involves spending time with God
Involves being sincere
Involves sacrifice
Involves serving
I don’t believe we can do the last three of these unless we are good at the first one, spending time with God. Our busyness and cultural nature often limit our spending time with God to Sunday mornings or when something is going bad. But that is not what God, our Father, our Dad, wants. He wants to spend every minute with us. Through the good and bad. Do you invite God into all areas of your life?
I think the first step to see if you are including God is to look at what He has given you to steward. Your gifts, your time, your family, your job, your talents, your finances, etc. Are you inviting Him into all of these things? When you look at each of these, can you honestly say you seek His guidance and steward them in a way that glorifies Him? Do you love God more than each of these things?
I think, as Pastor Clint said, “We all probably need to do a virus scan on our hearts.” Men, this is a good thing! Running to God with these tough questions allows him to love us the way He has always wanted to love us.
To change the priorities of our hearts, we have to Love God and let God love us. We do this by inviting Him into all areas of our lives and letting Him guide us. The blessings will come as we allow Him to comfort us, bring order to our lives, and let Him guide us as we work through the junk in our lives.
Take this to heart, men! Our families and friends will be blessed as WE walk Fully Alive in Him!
Don’t forget to invite God into your day!
