Devo for 01/26/2025 service- Message by Pastor Clint Sprague

Last week was “New Sermon Sunday!”  Pastor Clint began a series called Fully Alive and spoke on how God wants His people to be Fully Alive.

While listening to the sermon, these quotes jumped out at me:

  • “When you see people do what God gifted them to do, it is beautiful.”

  • “When someone is living out their gifting, it highlights God’s creativity.”

  • “God smiles when we live out our giftings”

Pastor Clint described being fully alive as those “who receive, experience, and enjoy the empowered life God gave us.” God gives us gifts and talents to live that way. We should all crave being fully alive in Christ! These verses embody that sentiment:

  • Psalm 43:4, “Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy.”

  • Romans 5:2, “Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.”

  • Psalm 70:4, “May all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you! May those who love your salvation say evermore, ‘God is great!’”

Men, I believe this message series can be life-changing for us!  Be bold in checking yourself in this area.  The fact is, many of us have trouble living out our giftings because we have so much junk in the way.  Ask yourself, where has satan got you off track?  What do you have that you need to let go of?  Let Father work on your heart to clear it of the junk!

As men, we must slow down and let God work in us.  We have to believe it when God says this about us: we are His workmanship; we are created in His image; we are fearfully and wonderfully made; we are a new creation.  We have to humble ourselves before Him so we are positioned to receive the gifts and talents He has for us!

Then, we have to use these gifts and talents to glorify Him!

As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.1 Peter 4:10

Remember, we were never called to get saved and just try to survive until we get to Heaven.  We were called to walk in our giftings to spread the word about the glory of God!  The reward is worth it!

Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4

Don’t forget to invite God into your day!
